Procurement & Contracting Success Team

The EWTG Procurement & Contracting Success Team is an insider network for women government professionals who are, or aspire to be, leaders in procurement and contract management. This Success Team shares strategies for navigating complex regulations, building executive skills, solving real-world challenges, and advancing careers in procurement and contracting. At our May meeting, guest speaker Marisol Claudio-Ehalt, Health and Human Services Commission Deputy Associate Commissioner of Complex Procurements, led a candid session on negotiation strategies in public procurement. Members tackled real questions, such as, “What is allowed in a negotiation? How do you prepare a strategy before you walk in the room? What standards are we supposed to follow in public procurement and contracting?” The conversation was practical, honest, and exactly what this group is built for. Our next meeting is Tuesday, June 16, at 5:30 p.m. and will cover Best Practices in Procurement and Contracting.
